An Interregnum: Atlanta City Council President
Consider for a moment the Atlanta City Council Presidential Runoff. First, gain a modicum of understanding regarding the respective responsibilities and duties that pertain to this position. While you meditate on that, realize that part of your reflections should lead you to realize that the responsibilities of the president of the City Council are closely aligned in importance to the Mayor's responsibilities. Next, place the impending runoff for council president at the fore of your political conscious and commit yourself and at least one other citizen to vote in this runoff election. Atlanta needs a political makeover. The makeover must minimally include enough political integrity wherein the concerns of the least of the city's citizens, e.g., the poor, may have central importance on the city's political, social, and economic agendas.
